"The Motherland of Jazz"
Miami-Dade County Hurricane Relief
Recording Page
|
|
Hello all,
Due to hurricane Rita and other conflicting interests, the event planned
at the American Airlines Arena was rescheduled and never materialized.
Miami-Dade College, The Kiwanis of Little Havana, WPBS, WLRN, Arturo
Sandoval, Negroni's Trio, The Fuego Caliente Band, Alfredo Oliva and
Miami Symphonic Services, Dana Paul, Peter Graves and the Jaco Pastorious
Word of Mouth Revisited Big Band, The American Federation of Musicians,
and many other existing and new partners and artists worked hard to
put the ecent together but were unable to make the event happen. Other
events did take place throughout the community including a benefit
concert at the University of Miami where professor Calle participated.
