Instructions and information for MDC's Conference Day
on March 10th, 2005. Rhythm section and sound company may drive the cars up to the stage and unload. You must move the cars back to the parking lot after unloading. The easiest way to enter is via the 107th Avenue entrance to MDC. Go straight ahead, around the fountain and up the ramp. Please do not make any noise on stage until the downbeat. The professors attending conferences all around you need silence due to our advanced ages. The CME must setup and prepare for the show in "silent running" mode - yes, like a nuclear submarine, until 12:20 PM. You are all professionals now and don't need a sound check anyway. We will work out levels during the first song. Just in case you just read this and quickly forgot, please don't warm up, tune drums or do anything else that will create sound:) If you have questions, you may reach me at: (305) 237-0593, on my cellular or via e-mail. I know you are all exhausted. I just want to personally thank everyone of you for your passion and dedication. You make the college, our department and everyone who is fortunate enough to come in contact with you very proud. I expect great things from you and you have never let me down. As you know, that's a hard thing to do:) Keep up the excellent work. The kind of effort you are exherting turns students into stars. I look forward to attending each one of your own concerts in the future.
See you Thursday.
